This is the ideal way for Medical Herbalists to run their practices. The software has been designed specifically for small practices, and is already running successfully in Australia. The features have been tailored for the United Kingdom, and enable practitioners to comply with the legal requirements of traceability.

Features include: Client Care System; Appointment Management; Database of Herbs; Database of Medical Conditions; a full suite of Administrative Tools; and optional Stock Control facility; an optional Invoicing facility.

The software is robust and well-tested and is suitable for single practitioners, or networked practitioners within a single location. However it is not suitable at present for networked practitioners in more than one location.

This software helps you run your practice more efficiently, allowing you to track client care over time and gives you an holistic picture of your patients (this is of course the bedrock of herbalism).

Data

Your all-important data is protected by means of a data back-up which is via one click to a default location (and we also recommend once per week that you do an off-site back-up). "Restore" is also one click. There is an Archive feature to keep database manageable.

Client records

The software enables you to store a comprehensive client record on each patient which charts medical history, family history, diet history, appointment history, blood type etc. Practitioners will be able to update additional information after every client visit. You are able to access the information very easily. All a patient's visits are available in one snapshot on the screen which allows you to see patterns form which may help you in diagnosis.

Client care

This is an appointment management system that is very flexible (literally accessible at the click of a button). Not only does it prevent double-booking it is good for payroll issues where there are multiple staff. Each practitioner is able to print out list of their appointments.

Herbal Data Base

Comes ready-populated with 300 herbs, with the properties of each herb listed as well as pointers as to what they can be used for (this is completely tailorable). Practitioners can also give their clients a print-out of the herbs used in tinctures.

Conditions database

This section of the software is "unpopulated" - it is a structured framework where practitioners can type in their own data. It gives consistency of treatment. It also allows you see patterns and provides a snapshot of different treatments that might be suitable for different patients.

E-mail facility

Allows group e-mails so that you can issue electronic messages and newsletters.

Printing options

You are able to print reports of client's last visit, current prescriptions etc. You are able to print address labels for mailshots to patients. You are able to print labels for medicines.

Stock and prescription function

This feature comes with Herbs in a Bottle products loaded - but obviously you can tailor as you require. You are also able to add bespoke medicines - enabling you to build up your on-line "shelf". Able to generate treatment plans including prescriptions. All batch numbers are listed, and everything is traceable - allowing you to comply with legislation requirements.
